FOOD from the spoon to the world

Vertigo was in charge of visual communication and infographics for a large exhibition held at the MAXXI museum investigating the relationship between food and space through architecture, stories and art. The FOOD exhibition, held during the same year as the Milan EXPO, expanded on architectural themes linked to the storing, distribution, consumption and disposal of food and raw materials, sparking a comparison with the main issues affecting the time and place we live in. It was split into six thematic sections: body, home, street, city landscape and world. Infographics played a fundamental role in this exhibition, as they were used to explain complex and continuously evolving phenomena. Visitors were guided along the exhibition route by murals, interactive maps, videos and 3D models. The project was curated by Pippo Ciorra, alongside Giulia Ferracci, Alessio Rosati and Alessandra Spagnoli, with the support of the MAXXI National Museum of 21st century arts.
